55's Dead in Factions?
The speculation, from what i've read atleast, is that 55ing in Factions is next to impossible in almost, if not all locations. I'm curious if this statment has any truth, as if it does I would like some foreward so that I can unload my runes and weapons. Even if its just me keeping the 20% enchant mod as a loss, and selling the runes to the trader for 2k - 3k, less than what I paid originally. If anyone could please shed some light on the subject, I would truly appreciate it, thanks.

There are several skills in Factions that remove enchantments, non-spells so that spellbreaker won't work. This will have a highly negative effect on prot-spirit based builds, but I doubt that they'll be completely gone. farmers are resourceful mind you

Although 55hp farming will be impossible many places in the world(as it is in the prophacys campaign) its not going to be impossible everywhere. I believe I heard that some groups that are 55hpable are being spaced farther apart so you can't aggro as many. I don't know if this is true however.

Do you feel as though we would be better off to sell our stuff now, as far as runes go, while demand is still high, rather than waiting? As if 55HP builds are nuked, few will want all of the runes, albeit a few of them are likely to be still in demand.
I'm just trying to avoid being stuck with alot of gear that is otherwise useless, lol. I do understand that farmers are resourceful, but their ingenuity may require a complete rework of the build.... Perhaps i'm just overly paranoid though.

Well you can always do it in Tryia and you may have to group up more in
Canthia. The most mobs you will have to think about are the Assassins.

Hehe maybe 55 will be dead but i posted a thread a few days ago about 1 skill: spirit bond. basically if you have the right armor andtake more than 60 dmg per hit and less than 231 ur invincible! better yet it casts in 1/4 second and recharges in 1. Better than any 55 i know of
anyways heres the link:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s....php?t=3018598
it should work...

Ok, thanks for the foreward. I'll keep my 55 then, lol. Too bad, just realised that I won't be able to grab factions when it first comes out, lol. *crosses fingers for asap delivery*

That doesn't prove anything, could of got the golds somewhere else for example... However, I'm not saying you're lying. Just your way of proving yourself is crap, would it be possible for you to print screen killing things in factions? .

I just brought my 55 to the Marketplace, and whooped up on the Canthan Warriors there, and those Assassins that try to be tricky and pop up on you. Kill them no sweat. It's the Ritualist that doesn't want to die. I just have to run from them.

I haven't tried 55'ing Factions yet but I was pleasantly surprised to see my Warrior being able to solo some of the higher end mobs after all my henchies croaked.

founds a couple farmable spots with 55. not gonna release them as they are not worth the effort. I'm not gonna go out of my way to look for farming spots yet. I want to finish the game first.

Well, if you think about it, it wouldn't matter if they nerfed 55 monk. someone will just come up with some other build to toally destroy things...they cant controll us. But i would like to see that Anet doesn't totally nerf 55's casue i just finished mine about 5 days ago and since griffon farming and ettin farming are about impossible now (due to enchanment strips and kephet destroying the other griffons) i want something to have fun with that will get me money

posted a guide here: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s....php?t=3020666
It's nowhere near dead. I've come across a few newer locations that I plan to investigate a bit more to see if it's actually worth farming in comparison to the UW.
